Childhood Memories?

Hi! Does this remind you of childhood days?!? This stamp can be found on here Summer Days I am not sure if Amy has the verse stamp uploaded yet, but all you have to do is write her and let her know you are interested in it. The rest of the verse is stamped on the inside and it says, Put your heels up, and have an Awesome day!

The tree is stamped on a silver glossy type paper and I embossed it. I colored in the bark with a marker. I then took a sponge and put the different colors on the paper. After, it dried, I trimmed my paper and layered it on black to have it stand out, just a little.

I hope this brings a smile to your face and maybe it will give you a jump start to stamp a card today, "if" you need a jump start! : )

I do hope you had a pleasant week-end. ~~Inkyhive

Hello, I am Inkyhive

I guess it is time to get my feet wet, sort to speak! I am Inkyhive. . . it is my stamping name, and have been going by it for many a year. (I would guess to say, 9 years!) Even the Post Office knows me by that name. Yes, my mail comes addressed to Inkyhive. I am a friend of Amy's and have been making cards with her stamps for sometime. She and I met at a stamp convention, I believe back in the summer of 2000. It was my very first convention and did hubby and I have a great time. We bought a couple of stamps from Amy and Dan. When I got home, I e-mailed her with a question and as they say, the rest is history. Amy lives a little more than an hour south of me and when our schedules allow, which I wish was more often, we get together and stamp a little and chat.

Any way, Amy has asked if I would post a card using her stamps here from time to time. So, I said -- sure, I can do that. :- )

This is a card I made a few weeks ago for a friend of mine in VA who is a teacher's aide.

Here is a card that I made and gave to Amy as she likes to have cards to put up when she is doing a convention.
I wasn't sure what to do with this card, so I thought I would add a road to it. It was very easy. . .take a piece of black paper, make it the size you want, take a white pen and draw lines down the center! I used brads for the hub-caps and I put white dots on the scalloped edge that goes around the saying. It kind of makes it look like wheels!

All are Amy's stamps which you can find at AJ's Country Stampin's If you can't find them, please e-mail Amy. She will be very happy to help you out.

May you have a wonderful day and I hope time for a little stamping!
